We know you may have questions about what to expect, and are here to guide you every step of the way! Below, you'll find answers to common questions about the rehabilitation process, from the first appointment to long-term care—so you can feel fully prepared to support your pet’s journey

  • Every pet deserves the freedom to run, play, and embrace life to the fullest. When mobility challenges arise—whether from injury, surgery, or the natural effects of aging—physical therapy becomes a beacon of hope. We incorporate compassionate care and expert techniques like manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to help restore strength, ease pain, and reignite joy in movement.

  • Of course! We believe that an effective healing journey for your animal involves a team approach, including your vet, rehab team, and most importantly YOU! We provide a personalized home exercise and education plan, giving you the tools to actively support your pet’s healing and mobility every step of the way.

  • The journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your pet! Every pet and circumstance is different and thus our first goal is to develop a rehabilitation program specifically designed for you and your pet’s needs. Any information you have (including photos) of home environment, situation, and routine is very helpful and welcome! We also ask that you take a moment to review intake email including paperwork to help us find out where we are starting from. The information you provide helps us to determine potential pain and it’s impact on function/daily life to help determine our goals and how best to help you. We also welcome all questions and concerns! Please also feel free to bring any special needs treats/food if they have special dietary needs.

  • At AARF we believe every animal’s situation is different and so we don’t just treat a diagnosis! We work together with you and your vet to determine the best course of treatment to help reach your individual goals. We also include a discussion with you regarding your concerns, goals, and individual needs. You know your pet best and we want to work together to help develop a plan that WORKS to best serve both you and your animal! Best results happen when everyone is involved and empowered!
